Gold coin Bob and Bobby - Cyclists proof

On the third gold coin in the Czech Mint's collector's mini-series dedicated to Bob and Bobby, the two rabbits are depicted as passionate cyclists.

Filming of the series about rabbits from a hat began in 1978. The original team of authors consisted of graphic designer Vladimír Jiránek, screenwriters Jiří Šebánek and Jaroslav Pacovský, and director Václav Bedřich. In later years, other creators took over Večerníček, and by 2005, 91 stories had been produced, making Bob and Bobby the cartoon series with the most episodes. The world has changed during that time, but the two white-eared characters have remained good friends – always willing to lend a paw, even if their good intentions often go wrong. They have also retained the unmistakable voice of Josef Dvořák over the decades.

Medal designer Petr Patka, DiS., dedicated the reverse side of the coin to the rabbits riding bicycles – as usual, Bob pedals diligently while Bobby is clever and rides along. Since the coins from the Czech Mint are issued with a foreign licence from the island of Niue, they also bear the portrait of King Charles III, the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2025 on the obverse side.
