Product description

Do you think about a tasteful and valuable gift for the newlyweds? This is exactly the silver Wedding thaler of the Czech Mint, which thanks to the engraved dedication becomes the only original in the world.

Wedding customs of many nations are associated with coins. You have probably heard that a bride should have something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue on her wedding day. This tradition that comes from an old English rhyme also includes a silver coin that the bride has to put in her shoe to bring her new family luck, wealth and prosperity. (Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe.) Coins are, as well as wedding rings, round and symbolize infinity.

The new wedding thaler for the year 2020 was designed by the medal maker Lenka Nebeská, DiS. On the obverse side there is the inscription "WEDDING THALER 2020" together with two pairs of hearts connected with axes interlaced by a decorative ribbon. The ribbon interlaced with flowers is also on the reverse side of the thaler where it defines the space for the text to be engraved according to your wish. The names of the newlyweds and the wedding date or the hearty dedication can be engraved on a medal that holds no more than 4 lines of text of 15 characters including spaces.

You can also write your dedication into a gift wrapping in the form of a booklet with a wrapper that can also include wedding photography.
