Czech Lion 2020

Silver often stands in the shadow of gold, but wrongfully. However, smart investors know its qualities and provide it with a special place in their portfolios. Therefore, world mints issue purely investment silver coins. The Czech Republic still lacks such mintages, therefore, the Czech Mint issued its own investment coin entitled the “Czech Lionbased on a foreign license.

State symbols reflect the
nature of the state and its nation. Such are the Czech attributes. Although many people will try to tell you the opposite, we can truly be proud of our history. The Czechs have always been a strong nation. Our first symbol was a noble flaming eagle, and later it was a powerful two-tailed lion. We were pious and honored our ancestors - especially St. Wenceslas, who became our patron, and Charles IV, the Father of the Fatherland. We have been renowned for great ideas and extraordinary skills, which are still admired by the whole world - for example in the form of crown jewels dominated by the St. Wenceslas Crown.

The Czech Mint
reworked all variants of investment coins in 2020, but these national symbols and virtues are still reflected in them. Besides the Czech Lion in an unusually realistic design, the reverse side of the silver coin presents the St. Wenceslas crown, which rests on the head of the two-tailed beast, and the eagle on the shield, which is a synthesis of St. Wenceslas, Moravian and Silesian predators. The medal maker Asamat Baltaev, DiS became the author of the relief. The obverse side bears the attributes of the island of Niue, which provides the Czech Mint with a foreign license to mint its own coins. These attributes are the portrait and the name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2020 and the nominal value of 80 DOLLARS (NZD). All this is supplemented by linden branches.

The total schedule of issuance counts 350 pieces -
300 of which are available separately in a protective capsule and another 50 pieces are part of a comprehensive set of silver coins. The Czech Mint offers a luxurious wooden box where you can store this coin.
