Another silver coin from the series inspired by the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, this coin commemorates the hobbit Frodo Baggins.

Hobbits are comfortable creatures. They are long-lived and have enough time for everything. They love to laze around and rarely leave the warmth of the home fireplace. They surround themselves with beautiful things and good people. Under no circumstances will they forgive themselves two breakfasts, a snack, a lunch, a snack and two dinners, and finally they light a pipe full of fragrant spices. Yet among these halflings, there are those with adventure in their blood - such as Bilbo Baggins, who undertook the legendary quest to find the dragon's treasure. When Bilbo's nephew Frodo listened to his uncle's incredible tales, he never dreamed that a spectacular journey awaited him too - let alone one that would decide the fate of all Middle-earth. But then an ancient ring with magical powers fell into his hands...

The reverse side of the coin is dominated by a colourful depiction of Frodo Baggins holding the Ring of Power. The surrounding relief features his faithful hobbit friends, Samwise "Sam" Gamgee and Merry Brandybuck, who accompany him on his journey. The obverse side then presents the portrait and name of the monarch Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2021 and the nominal value of TWO DOLLARS (NZD) - i.e. the attributes of the issuer of the coin, which is the island of Niue. The coin was minted with official film licence by the team of the New Zealand Mint.

An integral part of the issue is an elegant wooden case with a special mechanism used to display the coin.
