The Flash is the second superhero to appear on an ounce silver coin from DC's series dedicated to classic comics.

The fastest man in the world is as fast as lightning, and since it was the storm that gave him his superhuman powers, police investigator Barry Allen adopted the pseudonym Flash. His lightning reflexes go hand in hand with quick thinking. The speed this superhero can exert knows no bounds - even breaking the very laws of physics on more than one occasion. The Flash, for example, can vibrate the molecules of his body to pass through solid matter. He can also surpass the speed of light, making him one of the most powerful beings in the universe. In fact, superluminal speed allows him to visit alternate realities or travel through time to repair tragic events he missed...

The reverse side of the coin presents two depictions of the Flash - a confident figure with arms akimbo supplemented with a running figure. Of course, the iconic Flash symbol - the emblem worn on the superhero's chest - cannot be missing in relief. The obverse side is then dedicated to the necessary attributes of the issuer, which is the island of Niue, which means the name and portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the nominal value of TWO DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2022. The mintage, which is issued with the official license of DC Comics, is the work of the New Zealand Mint.
