Product description

The year 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the National Bank of Slovakia. This anniversary is commemorated by a set of Slovak euro coins minted in quality proof.

The central bank is the supreme institution of banking supervision, which determines monetary policy in the country. In Slovakia, this key role is played by the National Bank of Slovakia, which was established on 1 January 1993. After the break-up of Czechoslovakia, the NBS ensured a fast monetary separation, printing new banknotes and minting new coins. In addition to maintaining price stability in Slovakia, supervising the financial market and managing the amount of money in circulation, it focused on meeting the economic and legal criteria necessary for the adoption of the euro on 1 January 2009. Since then, the NBS, together with other euro area national banks, has been involved in the preparation of monetary policy decisions of the European Central Bank. The importance of the Slovak monetary authority is matched by its modern headquarters, which, at 111 metres and 33 storeys, is one of the highest buildings in Bratislava.

In the comprehensive set you will find all valid euro circulating euro coins issued in 2023 by the National Bank of Slovakia and minted by the Slovak Mint of Mincovňa Kremnica. These are nominal values of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 c and 1 and 2 €, which are supplemented with a thematic commemorative token.

The set is stored in a blister packaging with a cover.
