Set of circulation coins 2026 Czech Republic stand
Product description
This comprehensive set of Czech circulation coins, dated 2026, issued by the Czech Mint in cooperation with the Czech National Bank, celebrates the beauty of the Czech Republic.
The Czech Republic is a country with an exceptionally rich history, traces of which can be found all around us. Just look into your wallet, where circulation coins jingle! The two-koruna coin commemorates the glory of the Great Moravian Empire—it features a Mikulčice button, a decorative piece of jewelry with which the ancient Slavs adorned their clothing. The twenty-koruna coin takes you back to the very beginnings of Czech statehood, featuring the equestrian statue of Saint Wenceslas from Wenceslas Square. The one-koruna and five-koruna coins pay tribute to the most famous era of the Czech Kingdom—King Charles IV, who gave us the Crown of Saint Wenceslas and Charles Bridge. You’ll also find the stone bridge over the Vltava River on the fifty-koruna coin, where it is accompanied by other Prague gems—the Castle with the Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral, the Baroque Church of St. Nicholas, and the Neo-Renaissance National Theater. The fact that the Czech Republic is not just Prague is demonstrated by the ten-koruna coin, which features Brno’s Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul… Each coin is different, but they have one thing in common. They are united by the Czech lion—an ancient heraldic symbol of strength and courage of our nation.
The set includes all six circulation coins, which were produced in a more environmentally friendly manner than the coins that enter circulation. The year 2026 is stamped on each coin. The set of metal coins is accompanied by a thematic commemorative token designed by medallist Zuzana Nohýnková, who won a student competition at the Jablonec College of Applied Sciences. On the reverse side of the token, you will find the mythical Bruncvík, who, alongside a lion, fights a fierce dragon. On the obverse side of the token, the victorious lion rests and gazes into the future of the Czech lands.
The set’s packaging takes the form of a Czech-English fold-out booklet filled with photographs and interesting facts about various landmarks of the Czech Republic.
