Product description

Each coinage superpower has its gold investment coins. These are intended primarily for investors who want to take advantage of proven precious metal. As the Czech Republic does not have its own investment mintages, the Czech Mint introduces the "Czech Lion", which is the first own investment coin issued in a foreign license. Kilogram gold coins represent the flagship of the investment series.

The most famous symbol of the Czech state is a heraldic figure in the form of a lion. But how did this exotic beast get into the emblem of the country in the heart of Europe? Help can be found in the legend of Bruncvik, the prince who went on a journey to Africa where he helped the king of the animals to fight a beast. Historians, however, offer a more plausible explanation. Our first historically documented symbol was the flaming eagle, also referred to Premyslid or St. Wenceslas. It is not certain when it first appeared, but it could have been used by the mythical forefather Čech. The lion replaced it as Czech symbol in 1158. At that time the Emperor Frederick I. Barbarossa appreciated the help of Prince Vladislav II. by giving him the royal crown together with the new coat of arms, which was the silver one-tailed lion. The lion represented the virtues of a knight, strength and courage that Vladislav demonstrated during the conquest of Milan in the service of the emperor. And how did the lion come to the other tail? Heroism and military played the role again when the King Přemysl Otakar I helped Emperor Otto IV in the struggle against the Saxons. The second tail of the Czech Lion distinguished itself from the beasts of other nations and added a unique prestige to it.

The two-tailed lion lends a gold coin his majesty. Unusually realistic symbol guards other attributes of our homeland. These are the St. Wenceslas crown on the pillow and the St. Wenceslas eagle on the shield. The leading medal maker Jaroslav Bejvl designed the coin, however, he did not finish his work before his death, so Asamat Baltaev, DiS continued. The obverse side of the coin is then devoted to the necessary attributes of the island of Niue, which provides the Czech Mint a foreign license to issue investment coins. There are portrait and name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of the issue 2018 and the nominal value of 8000 DOLLARS (NZD).

Invest your finances into one kilogram of pure gold exempt from VAT in the form of precisely processed patriotic mintage.
