Cast Rune 1 Oz - Isaz

The oldest runic alphabet contains 24 characters. One of them is the rune Isaz, whose power is immortalised in one troy ounce of pure silver.

The runes of the ancient Germans could be compared to today's alphabet, but these characters were not only used to write heroic sagas or skaldic verses. Norse legend says that Odin, the highest of the gods, sacrificed an eye to gain infinite wisdom, which included rune magic. This magic was then seized by people who carved runes into wood, bone, stone or metal. With their help, they were able to predict the future, heal and fulfil all kinds of wishes... Each symbol has a different power, with the rune Isaz associated with prudence. It helps its bearer to keep a cool head, wait and find opportunities even in seemingly hopeless situations.

The pure silver rune is finished with a patina and colour that can only be revealed by UV light. Each piece also features an individual number and the coin mark of the Germania Mint.
