The Tudors were an English royal dynasty that turned a fractured country into a world power. The majesty of the house is expressed by the heraldic animals that appear on commemorative coins from The Royal Mint in UK. The first of the ten creatures is the Seymour panther.

The reverse side of the coin, which is the work of artist David Lawrence, presents a spotted panther. Its head is adorned with flames, on its neck there is a crown and it clutches a shield in its paws. The obverse side of the coin is dedicated to the attributes of the issuer - i.e. the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the text ELIZABETH II D G REG FID DEF (Elizabeth II, Queen by the Grace of God, Defender of the Faith) and the nominal value of 5 POUNDS (GBP).
