Although his role has brought him a considerable fortune, an Oscar nomination and legions of fans among the younger generation, he could not remember it with joy. It overshadowed his previous work, which he considered more valuable. Although Obi-Wan dies at the end of the first Star Wars, through the space forces still influences the events in the other two sequels, also with the face of Alec Guinness. When at the turn of the millennium the film saga returned with another trilogy, which takes place before the original, the role of a young knight won the charismatic Scotsman Ewan McGregor.
