The silver coin with a nominal value of 10 euro was minted in standard quality on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Slovak monk Cyprian.

An unprecedented thing happened in Slovakia when an inventive monk built a machine to transport him to God in the 18th century. He took off on artificial wings, but the archbishop had no sympathy for his actions and had the devil's invention burned. So says the legend of flying Cyprian, which is based on an untold written testimony on which centuries of human imagination have been piled... One thing is certain - the Camaldolese friar Cyprian really lived. He worked in the Red Monastery in the north of Slovakia and was a remarkable personality. He excelled especially in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, alchemy and botany and his help was sought by people from a wide area. His life's work was the herbarium of 1766. This rare book bound in dark leather contains 283 pressed plants from the Slovak mountains and further afield. Individual specimens are supplemented with multilingual names, but also by disease diagnoses and medicinal recipes. In addition, Cyprian was also interested in astronomy or folklore and was a skilled glassmaker. It is no wonder that he was referred to as the "master of a thousand arts".

The reverse side of the coin presents the Red Monastery, the rock massif of the Three Crowns, from where the monk supposedly took off and a medicinal herb. The inscriptions on the reverse side state FRÁTER CYPRIÁN, 1724–1775, ČERVENÝ KLÁŠTOR. Other plants can be found on the obverse side - in the scabbard of the bearded Cyprian, who is dreamily observing the flying bird. The composition of the obverse side is supplemented with a diagram of a fantastic flying machine. Essential attributes of the euro coin are the nominal value of 10 EURO, the inscription SLOVENSKO, the year of issue 2024 and the Slovak national emblem. All this is the work of the medal maker Mgr. Roman Lugár.
