Signs of the Zodiac
The silver medal of the Czech Mint from the gift series with the motifs of the 12 signs of the zodiac will become not only beautiful, but also a valuable talisman for anyone born under the sign of Pisces.
Do you know why there are two fishes in the constellation? The answer lies in an old Greek myth about the terrifying monster Typhon, from whom the ancient gods themselves had to hide. Each turned into an animal out of fear, with the goddess of love Aphrodite choosing to take the form of a fish and her son Eros doing the same. In order not to lose each other in the swift water current, they tied their tails with a ribbon... The lives of Pisces in human form are ruled by emotions. They absorb the moods of their surroundings - both positive and negative - and then behave accordingly. Their sensitivity and extraordinary capacity for empathy make them great helpers who are always willing to lend a helping hand. However, their lack of self-awareness often leads to situations where they allow themselves to be taken advantage of. In addition to the constellation that gave them their name, Pisces is also ruled by the planet Neptune. This in astrology often points to individuals who love impersonally - for example, humanity as a whole - which can sometimes lead to self-sacrifice, which Pisces not infrequently commits.
The unusual oval-shaped medal bears a coloured depiction of Pisces on the reverse side. No photographs or computer graphics were used as the basis for the colouring - the medal maker Asamat Baltaev, DiS., created an original watercolour painting. The relief in the background presents a disc with a dozen zodiac signs and the composition is supplemented with the Latin inscription PISCES with the corresponding astrological symbol. The star symbols of the individual signs can also be found on the reverse side of the medal, which is common to the entire series.
The medal is placed in an elegant box.
