Product description
The second silver medal of the Czech Mint from the gift cycle for every occasion bears a mandala with a motif of friendship.
The word mandala comes from Old Indian Sanskrit and can be translated simply as a circle. But its meaning is not so simple. It represents infinity, perfection, balance and unity. The mandala is formed as a circle with the center of which - or into which - symmetrically arranged shapes are directed. In addition to the shapes that symbolize masculine energy, the mandalas also contain colors that represent female energy. Therefore, silver medals must not miss colors. The power of each mandala is hidden in its center, where everything begins and ends. Therefore, a glass stone is set in the middle of the medal. Although people associate mandalas primarily with South Asian civilizations, their variations occur across time, cultures, and religious and philosophical systems - just look at the windows of European cathedrals or American Indian dream catchers. They are a tool for relaxation, meditation and self-knowledge, but also for solving problems or fulfilling desires. Because friendship is the greatest wish for many people, it has become the motif of the second gift mandala of the Czech Mint.
The obverse side of the medal, made by the young medal maker Kristýna Šánová, bears a colored yellow-orange ornament. It consists of figures gathered in a circle that surround the glass center. The reverse side of the medal, which is embossed, is common to a number of mandals of the Czech Mint.
The gift medal is an original talisman. If your relationship is more than friendship, you will also appreciate a love mandala offered by the Czech Mint.
