Product description
The seventh and last issue of the Czech Mint from the collector's series of silver medals "The Nightingales in gold" is dedicated to Dalibor "Hurricane" Janda. Commemorative mintage comes out on the occasion of singer's 65th birthday.
Dalibor Janda distinguished himself from other popular musicians of the 1970s and 1980s especially by his characteristic "hoarse voice". He admitted he does not have such a voice naturally but he had just added hoarseness. At first, it did not seem to be a good idea. "They told me that I had such a sick, non-socialist voice," remembers Dalibor, saying that Supraphon was not into recording. Fans, however, were enthused by his musical performance, and the popularity of the singer went up steeply after the first success. Then the debut album Hurricane was released. "Big success and second place in Nightingales, I defeated Karel for the first time, which was a heroic act. There was another album "Where are you", three times first in Nightingales," Dalibor adds with a smile. He became the second most successful singer in the history of Nightingales just after Karel Gott thanks to his victory in a prestigious music survey from 1986 to 1988.
This commemorative mintage is the work of an expert medal maker and portraitist MgA. Martin Dašek. He worked on the charismatic relief portrait of Dalibor Janda on the reverse side and placed his name in the copy. For the reverse side, he created an original collage which consists of a gramophone record, the double-necked guitar, the inscription GOLDEN NIGHTINGALE 1986-87-88 and the names of two famous hits TO LIVE LIFE AS CASCADER and HURRICANE, to which the theme of the tire belongs.
We have also prepared for the collectors an original common etui, where you can store a complete collection of seven nightingales.
