Product description

The set of commemorative medals of the Czech Mint, which allows you to create a Bethlehem scene of pure silver, presents Caspar, one of the legendary Three Kings.

They were brought by the glow of the stars to Bethlehem, where they gave up the newborn Messiah's tribute and brought with them precious gifts. Melichar presented Jesus with gold - precious metal, the value of which people have recognized for millennia. Baltazar's gift was incense - a fragrance blend used during important religious ceremonies and meditations that burn out a spicy aroma. Caspar brought myrrh - a resin derived from myrrh trees growing in East Africa, which is an important component of incense and a variety of ointments. In ancient times, myrrh was highly prized, and its value even exceeded its weight in gold.

The obverse side of the medal, the author of which is the talented medal maker Maria Filova, DiS., is dominated by the kneeling Caspar. He is dressed in oriental robe and holds his gift for Jesus - a myrrh box. Above his head there is a star that lights up its surroundings. The reverse side of the medal is dominated by the four-corner star together with the inscription The Star of the Temple of Nativity in Bethlehem. The star in this Israel sanctuary reminds you of the exact place where Jesus was born.

You can also find a collector´s album in the form of a folding bethlehem in the offer of the Czech Mint. You can save Jesus, Mary, Joseph, and all Three kings in it.
