Universal Gods

The Czech Mint dedicated the silver coin to the second ancient god - the Viking Odin.

The father of the universe is the highest of the gods of North, but also of Germanic mythology
, where he is known as Wotan. He is the saint patron of war, and all warriors who die in the battle can rejoice forever in his seat. This is a hall called Valhalla, which is located in the home of the gods of Asgard. Odin's favor on the battlefield is fickle - he gives it as fast as he takes it, but only because he wants the best by his side as soon as possible. Odin himself is a master warrior - he is armed with a magical spear Gungnir that never misses the target. Odin is also famous for his infinite wisdom. In order to gain it, he did not hesitate to sacrifice an eye, which he exchanged for a sip from the source of knowledge. There are always two ravens close to him - Hugin and Munin - who fly around the world every night and bring the message to Odin, and two voracious wolves - Geri and Freki. Society in Ásgard is also built by Odin´s large family. He had many children with several wives - for example, the mighty Thor, the god of thunder…

The medal maker
Asamat Baltaev, DiS. placed Odin sitting on his throne - Hlidskjalf - from where he sees all nine worlds on the reverse side of the coin. He does not miss the necessary attributes - an eye patch, a spear or his animal companions. The scene is surrounded by decorative ornaments, together with the inscription ODIN. You will also find one of the all-seeing ravens on the obverse side of the coin, which is supplemented with ornaments of Greek, Slavic, South American and Egyptian origin - the obverse side is common to the entire cycle of divine coins. Since the coins of the Czech Mint are issued with a license of a foreign issuer, the island of Niue, the obverse side also bears its necessary elements - a nominal value of 10 DOLLARS (NZD), the name and the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. and the year of the issue 2020.

The Universal Gods are immortalized on large coins - each weighing
five troy ounces.
