The seventh episode of Star Wars, subtitled The Force Awakens, kicked off a new chapter in the adored film saga. Its characters, including Finn, appear on special coins in the form of notes made of silver.

The Galactic Civil War may have ended with the fall of the Empire, but its dark ideology endures. Its adherents then secretly built the First Order, a military machine that would regain power. The backbone of the First Order became the legions of stormtroopers - ruthless soldiers in white armour who were bred from childhood into killing machines. But Stormtrooper FN-2187 defied the brainwashing and hate propaganda, defected, and became a key figure in the Resistance under the name Finn.

On the reverse side of the "banknote", which was created by the New Zealand Mint, Finn is depicted twice - the first portrait (with lightsaber) is coloured and the second (in the company of a First Order Stormtrooper) is in the form of an engraving. The insignia of the Resistance of the New Republic also appears in relief. The obverse side then bears the necessary attributes of the issuer, which is the island of Niue - i.e. the name and portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the nominal value of ONE DOLLAR (NZD) and the year of issue 2019.
