Product description
This unique silver coin in the shape of a three-dimensional paper boat takes us back to our carefree childhood years.
It has just rained, water is rushing down the stream, and children with muddy trousers are standing on the bank. Something is being created between their fingers – from a sheet of paper that was just a moment ago a drawing or homework. The folds form a pointed bow, stern, and mast, and suddenly it is finished. The paper boat is small, fragile, and yet ready to set sail for adventure. Just place it on the surface and let it be carried away by the current, the wind, or the power of your lungs. Sometimes it sails until it disappears from view, other times it capsizes and fills with water, but that doesn't matter. You can easily tear a new sheet from your notebook and fold an even better vessel... A paper boat is like childhood itself – it boldly sets off on a journey without a map, sometimes sailing against the current and sometimes letting itself be carried along by it. Childhood also eventually dissolves, lost beneath the surface of life, but the memories of it remain...
The silver coin is a faithful replica of a paper boat – it even has traces of water, evidence of repeated attempts to set sail. The bow features the coin's specifications and the issuer's attributes in cursive script – for example, the nominal value of 2 Dollars (NZD) and the year of issue, 2025. The national emblem of the issuer, the island of Niue, stands out on the stern – next to the logo of the manufacturer, Power Coin.
The coin, which has a mintage of only 499 pieces, is stored in a cheerful case with nautical motifs.
