Product description

The two-ounce silver coin with the motif of the immortal fairy tale Beauty and the Beast is an artistic and technical unique as well as a collector's rarity.

The story of a woman who is forced to marry an inhuman being is as old as mankind itself. However, the most famous version of the archetypal myth of the power of love is undoubtedly the French fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. It tells the story of a man who plucks a rose in a garden belonging to the mysterious Beast. This beast with a human voice does not take kindly to the indiscretion and threatens the man with death. The only way for the unfortunate man to save himself is to give the Beast one of his daughters. The girl with the prosaic name of Beauty, who truly loves her father, sacrifices herself without hesitation. The Beast falls in love with her, and love gradually awakens the human in him. Beauty, too, grows an unfamiliar beautiful emotion - for unlike others, she can see through the repulsive physical shell and see the sensitive soul, which is what love is all about…

The reverse side of the coin presents two images of a couple in love in a tender embrace. While in the real world the Beast is an inhuman monster, the mirror reflects his beautiful inner self. The richly decorated obverse side is then devoted to the necessary attributes of the coin's issuer, the State of Cameroon - bearing its national emblem, the nominal value of 2000 FRANCS CFA (XAF) and the year of issue 2024. All this is displayed in high relief, embellished with patina and gilding.

T&S Coin 's issue limit is just 500 pieces.
