After the Order of the Phoenix, the sixth Harry Potter film adventure, subtitled The Half-Blood Prince, has received its silver coin.

The wizarding world is no longer the kind and carefree place it once was - open warfare between the followers of good and the supporters of Lord Voldemort is imminent. Harry Potter, who has entered his sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, instead of enjoying his student days, is searching hard for a way to defeat the evil wizard and rid him of his immortality. The secrets of Voldemort's past lie in the memories of Hogwarts teachers who knew him when he was a student, Tom Raddle, but also in the pages of an old textbook belonging to the mysterious Half-Blood Prince...

The unusual rectangular coin takes the form of a movie poster. The vivid colours, achieved by colouring technology, feature a trio of inseparable friends - Harry, Ron and Hermione - accompanied by Albus Dumbledore himself. The centre of London then stands out in silver relief. As the issuer of the coin is the island of Niue, the obverse side bears its attributes - the portrait and name of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2021 and the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD). The design of the officially licensed mintage was processed by the New Zealand Mint's art collective.

Each coin is placed in a special box to protect it and set in an acrylic frame to allow it to be displayed.
