Product description

This collector’s edition of the investment coin, the result of international cooperation, is presented in special packaging with a display stand, which allows it to be displayed. The mintage for this edition is 1,000 pieces part of which is distributed by the Czech Mint, and part by Power Coin.

The issue of the eagle in the element of water is accompanied by the eagle in the element of air, the lion in the element of earth, and the lion in the element of fire. The 4 ELEMENTS series is thus complete.

Worldwide investment coins are often dedicated to powerful national symbols, and even “Orel,” which is the first coin of its kind intended for the Slovak market, is no exception. The Czech Mint’s investment coins are issued in a variety of versions, but this one-ounce silver coin is exceptional. The issue, which boasts a proof finish and sophisticated coloring, is the result of a long-term partnership with the Italian company Power Coin.

The Slovaks waited long and patiently for the opportunity to determine their own destiny—like a bird of prey circling in the sky above the majestic Tatra Mountains, watching for its prey. It is no wonder that Slovak b poets and national revivalists of the 19th century regarded the eagle as a kindred spirit and that Ľudovít Štúr himself named the cultural supplement of the Slovak National Newspaper “Orol tatránski.” Despite the hostile attempts of their sovereign rulers, the Slovaks preserved their culture, language, and character, until they finally succeeded in winning their independence. The symbol of all they had achieved was, once again, the eagle, which since time immemorial has represented strength, victory, freedom, and nobility, but also resurrection and new life. This bird of prey, which represents the Christian Kingdom of Heaven, also alludes to Slovak religious tradition.

In 2026, all variants of the investment coin received a brand-new design, but the central theme remained unchanged. The reverse side is dominated by the golden eagle, the lord of the Tatra Mountains, rendered in vivid colors. In the background behind it rises the magnificent mountain peak Kriváň. Since the license to issue investment coins for the Czech Mint is provided by the Pacific island of Niue, the obverse side bears its required attributes, which means a portrait of King Charles III, the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD), and the year of issue 2026. The intricate relief, embellished with a pearl finish, was created by Slovak medalist Mgr. Art. Miroslav Hric, ArtD.

Invest smartly and in style! Our selection also includes other variants of the “Eagle” bullion coin made of both silver and gold. This allows you to easily control how much of your funds you invest in precious metals.

The Czech Mint has extensive experience in the production of investment coins (so-called bullion coins). TheOrol” coins have been minted since 2020. Since 2017, it has also been minting gold and silver Czech Lion” coins, which have become popular with investors not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also in Hungary, Germany, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and the United States. The world’s largest online distributor of precious metals has also added them to its product lineup. One of the reasons why the Czech Mint’s investment coins have so quickly joined the ranks of famous global counterparts (such as the Austrian Wiener Philharmoniker, the Canadian Maple Leaf, the South African Krugerrand, the American Eagle, the Chinese Panda, or the Australian Kangaroo) is their low mintage. While investment coins from foreign mints are minted in the millions, the mintage limit for coins minted in the Czech Republic is in the hundreds or thousands. This fact increases the potential for investment appreciation and adds a collector’s dimension to the coins. Thanks to their artistic design, these coins also make excellent original and valuable gifts - for graduations, weddings, the birth of a child, or just for the sheer joy of it…
