The collector's version of the investment coin, which is the result of international cooperation, is stored in special packaging with a stand that allows it to be displayed. The issue limit of this version is 1,000 pieces – some are distributed by the Czech Mint, and some by Power Coin.
World investment coins are often dedicated to powerful national symbols, and "Orol," the first coin of its kind intended for the Slovak market, is no exception. The Czech Mint's investment coins come in a number of variants, but this ounce silver coin is exceptional. The issue, which boasts a proof finish and sophisticated coloring, is the result of a long-term partnership with the Italian company Power Coin.
The Slovaks waited long and patiently for the opportunity to determine their own destiny – like a bird of prey circling in the sky above the majestic Tatra Mountains, looking for its prey. It is no wonder that Slovak poets and revivalists of the 19th century regarded the eagle as a kindred spirit and that Ľudovít Štúr himself named the cultural supplement of the Slovak National Newspaper "Orol tatránski" (Tatra Eagle). Despite the ill-willed attempts of sovereign rulers, the Slovaks preserved their culture, language, and character until they finally succeeded in winning their independence. The symbol of all they had achieved was once again the eagle, which since ancient times has represented strength, victory, freedom, and nobility, but also resurrection and new life. This bird of prey, which represents the Christian kingdom of heaven, also refers to the Slovak religious tradition.
The reverse side of the coin is dominated by a golden eagle, the lord of the Tatra Mountains, depicted in vibrant colors. Behind it rises the magnificent mountain peak of Kriváň. An additional motif is another flying bird of prey. Since the license to issue investment coins is granted to the Czech Mint by the Pacific island of Niue, the obverse side bears its necessary attributes – a portrait of King Charles III, the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2025. The elaborate relief decorated with pearl powder was created by Slovak medal maker Mgr.Art. Miroslav Hric, Art. D.
Invest smartly and in style! In our offer you can also find other variants of the investment coin "Czech Lion" made of silver and gold. This allows you to easily regulate how much money you invest in precious metals.
The Czech Mint has extensive experience in the production of bullion coins. We have been minting gold and silver "Czech Lion" coins since 2017 and they are popular among investors not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also in Hungary, Germany, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and the United States. The world's largest online precious metals distributor has also requested them for its offer. One of the reasons why the Czech Mint's investment coins have so quickly joined their famous global counterparts (such as the Austrian Wiener Philharmoniker, Canadian Maple Leaf, South African Krugerrand, American Eagle, Chinese Panda or Australian Kangaroo) is their low issue limit. While investment coins of foreign mints are minted in the millions, the issue limit of coins minted in the Czech Republic is calculated in hundreds or thousands. This fact increases the appreciation potential of the investment and adds a collector's dimension to it. Thanks to the artistic processing, the coins will also serve perfectly as an original and valuable gift - for graduation, for a wedding, for the birth of a child or just for fun...
