Czech Lion 2021

Czech Lions - bullion coins of the Czech Mint - are used to store money in precious metals, however, their elaborated relief also attracts anyone who wants to expand their numismatic collection or give a special gift. The beauty of the silver coin with the year 2021 is emphasized by the double plating - with precious gold and unusual ruthenium.

The extraordinary variant of the Czech Lion bullion coin stands out for its sophisticated play of colours that is not often seen in coinage. The silver mintage is covered with a layer of grey-black ruthenium - a noble material that is the rarest of the triad of platinum metals. The central relief is then selectively gilded, giving the coin a distinctive contrasting design.

The reverse side of the coin is dominated by a gilded motif - an unusually realistic Czech lion with the St. Wenceslas Crown on its head. The composition of the reverse side is supplemented with a lime branch. The obverse side presents an eagle on the shield, which is a synthesis of the St. Wenceslas, Moravian and Silesian birds of prey. The author of the relief is traditionally the medal maker Asamat Baltaev, DiS. As the coins of the Czech Mint are issued with the licence of a foreign issuer, which is the island of Niue, their obverse side still bears its necessary attributes - the name and portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the nominal value of 2 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2021.

Do not miss the very first coin of the Czech Mint embellished with ruthenium.

The Czech Mint
has extensive experience in the production of bullion coins. We have been minting gold and silver "Czech Lion" coins since 2017 and they are popular among investors not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also in Hungary, Germany, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Canada and the United States. The largest online precious metals distributor in the world has also requested them for its offer. One of the reasons why the Czech Mint's investment coins have so quickly taken their place alongside their famous global counterparts (such as the Austrian Wiener Philharmoniker, Canadian Maple Leaf, South African Krugerrand, American Eagle, Chinese Panda or Australian Kangaroo) is their limited schedule of issuance. While bullion coins of foreign mints are minted in the millions of pieces, the issue limit of coins minted in the Czech Republic is calculated in hundreds or thousands of pieces. This fact increases the appreciation potential of the investment and provides it with a collector's dimension. Thanks to the artistic processing, the coins will also serve perfectly as an original and valuable gift - for graduation, for a wedding, for the birth of a child or just for fun...
