Czech Lion on a commemorative sheet
23/10/2025
The first commemorative sheet in the form of a banknote issued by the Czech Mint pays tribute to the Czech lion. Since 2017 this beast has dominated popular bullion coins and over the past nine years it has become the de facto mascot of our company.
From the very beginning, its author was Asamat Baltaev. However, this year he took on this task for the last time and created a commemorative sheet as a farewell.
The sheet was issued in three series:
- Series A, numbered from 1 to 500, accompanied autograph session with Asamat Baltaev.
- Series B, numbered from 1 to 500, is an integral part of the copper commemorative medals, which feature an incuse design.
- Series C, numbered from 1 to 1000, is available on its own.
Each sheet has a unique serial number and is stored in an envelope that describes its technical specifications. The incuse medals are numbered on the edge.
Join us in looking back on a great chapter of the Czech coinage!
