Product description

The Gold Wedding ducat of the Czech Mint is a tasteful gift for newlyweds, which combines original symbolism, the value of precious metal and emotional value in the form of an engraved dedication.

Coins have long been made of precious metals and had no paper or plastic counterpart. They are a
symbol of wealth, prosperity and security. Therefore, i tis not surprising that they played an important role in the wedding rituals of our ancestors. The oldest coins found in the Czech lands are the gold stators, the popular irises used by the Celts. Unlike Roman contemporaries, Celtic women were almost as equal as their men, and wedding coins were meant to symbolize the couple's willingness to share everything in the world. In many countries around the world, precious metal coin is still a wish for happiness and all the best to both newlyweds.

Such is the new gold ducat of the Czech Mint for the year
2021. Its author was the medal maker Lenka Nebeská, DiS. She devoted the obverse side to an elaborate composition that consists of the inscription WEDDING DUCAT 2021 and two pairs of hearts connected by axes with a decorative ribbon. The ribbon interwoven with flowers also appears on the reverse side of the ducat, where it defines the space for engraving personal dedication or other text according to your wishes with a range of 3 lines of 10 characters, including spaces.

You can also write a heartfelt dedication in an
elegant packaging. The booklet with the cover also contains space for the wedding photographs.
