Product description

The gold wedding ducat of the Czech Mint which combines original symbolism, precious metal value and emotional value in the form of engraved dedication is a tasteful gift for the newlyweds.

The coins were all made of precious metals and they did not have a paper or plastic analogy. They were a symbol of wealth, prosperity, and certainty. It is no wonder, therefore, that they played an important role in the wedding rituals of our ancestors. Gold staters, popularly called irises, were used by the Celts and belong to the oldest coins found on the Czech territory. Unlike Roman contemporaries, Celtic women had almost equal status with their men, and wedding coin should symbolize the willingness of the couple to share everything they have in the world. A coin made of precious metal wishes happiness and all the best to both newlyweds in many countries around the world.

The new gold ducat of the Czech Mint for 2020 means the same. It was made by medal maker Lenka Nebeská, DiS. She dedicated the obverse side to a sophisticated composition consisting of the inscription WEDDING DUCAT 2020 and two pairs of hearts with a decorative ribbon. The ribbon interlaced with flowers is also on the reverse side of the ducat where it defines a space for engraving a personal dedication or other text as desired by a range of 3 lines of 10 characters including spaces.

You can write hearty dedication into elegant packaging. The booklet with the wrapper also contains space for wedding photography.
