Ferdy the Ant

The Czech Mint introduced the five-part collector's miniseries, the first coin of which was dedicated to the occasion of the 85th birthday of Ferdinand the Ant. The second coin of beetle Pytlik was issued in pure gold.

Pytlik is a wood-destroying beetle from a natural science point of view. His mum laid the egg in a tree. The carpenter made of this wood the handrail of the balcony in the Osvěta cinema. The childhood (more precisely the larval stage) therefore Pytlík spent by watching a variety of films from which he gained a lot of knowledge - unfortunately superficial and inaccurate. Once he matured, he flew to the world to share it. He met Ferdy when the ant tried to tame his horse and dazzle Miss Beruska. The beetle Pytlik, as an expert in Western films, decided to teach him to throw a lasso as a real cowboy. He caused many damage and injuries, but they still were friends with the hardworking ant. Ferdy had a good influence on the Pytlik. Bragger Pytlik, who had been everywhere and knew everything, became clumsy but enthusiastic hard worker. He was a painter, a builder, and even a teacher of the next generation of small beetles.

Merry beetle Pytlik, which is running for a new adventure, dominates the reverse side of the coin of the medal maker Irena Hradecká, DiS. The obverse side presents the necessary elements of the island of Niue, which provides the Czech Mint with a licence to issue its own commemorative coins. This includes the name and the profile of Queen Elizabeth II., the year of the issue 2019 and the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD).

Do not miss that you can store the Pytlik´s coin into an illustrated collector´s album that was part of the Ferdy´s gold coin.
