Product description

The collector's version of the investment coin is stored in special packaging that is numbered. The mintage of this version is 500 pieces.

World investment coins are often dedicated to powerful national symbols, and "Orol," which is the first coin of its kind intended for the Slovak market, is no exception. The weight of the gold coin from the Czech Mint with the year 2025 is one twenty-fifth of a troy ounce.

The Slovaks waited long and patiently for their opportunity for self-determination – like a bird of prey circling in the sky above the majestic Tatra Mountains, watching for its prey. It is no wonder that Slovak poets and revivalists of the 19th century saw the eagle as a kindred spirit and that Ľudovít Štúr himself named the cultural supplement of the Slovak National Newspaper "Orol tatránski" (The Tatra Eagle). Despite the hostile attempts of sovereign rulers, the Slovaks preserved their culture, language, and character until they finally succeeded in winning their independence. The symbol of all they had achieved was once again the eagle, which has always represented strength, victory, freedom, and nobility, but also resurrection and new life. The bird of prey, which represents the Christian kingdom of heaven, also refers to Slovakia's religious tradition.

All versions of the investment coin received a brand new relief in 2025, but the main idea remained the same. The reverse side is dominated by the golden eagle, lord of the Tatra Mountains, with the magnificent peak of Kriváň behind. An additional motif is another flying bird of prey. As the license to issue investment coins is granted to the Czech Mint by the Pacific island of Niue, the obverse side bears its necessary attributes – a portrait of King Charles III, the nominal value of 5 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2025. The sophisticated relief, decorated with pearl, was created by Slovak medal maker Mgr. Art. Miroslav Hric, Art. D.

Invest smartly, stylishly, and without VAT! Our offer also includes other versions of the "Eagle" investment coin made of gold and silver. This allows you to easily control how much money you invest in precious metals.

The Czech Mint has extensive experience in the production of investment coins (so-called bullion coins). It has been minting the "Eagle" coin since 2020. Since 2017, it has also been minting gold and silver coins called "Český lev" (Czech Lion), which are popular with investors not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also in Hungary, Germany, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and the United States. The world's largest online distributor of precious metals has also requested to include them in its product range. One of the reasons why the Czech Mint's investment coins have so quickly joined the ranks of their famous counterparts around the world (such as the Austrian Wiener Philharmoniker, the Canadian Maple Leaf, the South African Krugerrand, the American Eagle, the Chinese Panda and the Australian Kangaroo) is their low issue cost. While investment coins from foreign mints are minted in the millions, the issue limit for coins minted in the Czech Republic is in the hundreds or thousands. This fact increases the potential return on investment and adds a collector's dimension. Thanks to their artistic design, the coins also make excellent original and valuable giftsfor graduations, weddings, births, or just for fun...
