Frozen is one of Disney's favorite animated films, and its winter atmosphere predestined it to become a Christmas classic. It also became the motif of a silver Christmas coin.

The story of fearless princess Anna, setting out for a journey to find her sister Elsa, whose icy magic imprisoned the kingdom for everlasting winter, amazed the world. Disney's movie, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, broke records and won two Oscars. No wonder - the adventure that enjoy not only small audiences, is full of catchy songs, humorous and touching situations, and kind characters. Who would not love the mountain lover Kristoff, his faithful reindeer Sven and of course the snowman Olaf…

All five favorite heroes are depicted in vivid colors - as if jumping straight out of the film - on the reverse side of the coin. The composition is supplemented by a series of snowflakes, together with the English inscription HOLIDAY CHEER. The obverse side bears the portrait and the name of Elizabeth II, the nominal value of ONE DOLLAR (NZD) and the year of the issue 2019, which means the attributes of the coin issuer that is the Pacific Island of Niue. The design of the officially licensed coin was processed by the designers of the New Zealand´s Mint.

The coin is stored in a special star-shaped capsule that has a loop for hanging it - for example on a Christmas tree. But that is not all - the capsule is stored in a colorful box inspired by Elsa's palace.
