How is the investment portfolio of gold and silver coins doing?

Last time I started the blog with a summary of how much I have invested so far in gold and silver coins from the portfolio of the Czech Mint. I wrote about the fact that the purchase of coins cost me €455, but the yield, or the appreciation in several months reached a total of €858 according to auction prices. So far, nothing has changed dramatically about this, and my gold and silver treasure still holds the valuation of almost 100%.

Let it stay that way! Howgh!

Last time I added an extremely beautiful coin to my treasure, this time with a hologram for €83. Silver ounce investment coin Czech Lion 2023 with hologram. Already when I wrote the blog, its valuation reached €94 at auctions.

How does it look after another month?

It seems that the price has not moved and is still at around €94. The only exception is this coin, when it is also offered with the signature of the medalist and it is for a great 145€. But I don't have one. However, it definitely inspired me to take the opportunity to get a "mini-booklet" of coins signed by the author if the opportunity arises. It will give the coin an interesting value.

I'm not losing yet, but a dizzying several ten percent appreciation is not happening in the case of this coin with a hologram. However, it is always more than inflation would take from my money.

So, what will I add to the collection today?

Something I've been looking forward to for a long time. Since August when I saw her for the first time:

Silver coin Two-armed cross - Detva SK proof. Beautiful work. Be sure to look carefully at its details, because you have something to enjoy!

If in the case of coins with a hologram it is true that they are difficult, if at all, to counterfeit, because the hologram is a significant protective element, then in this case it is true that the coin is difficult to counterfeit, because the mastery, skill and quality of the minting simply cannot be imitated! Pure beauty!

While I would buy this coin regardless of how much I expect it to appreciate, I like it so much, it's good to look at its "price point" as well, right?

So, the coin cost me €79 when I bought it at the Czech Mint. I still keep a sober limit - to save, but not to break the bank in pursuit of gold and silver... But it is still too early to evaluate how she is doing at auctions. We'll see in a month. If I keep it and don't give it to someone as a special gift for Christmas. :-)
