The historical lands of the Bohemian Crown appear on the traditional gold ducats of the Czech Republic in 2019. Two-ducat of the Czech Mint was dedicated to Moravia due to its size.

The name of the Moravian country was derived from the river of the same name that flows through it (the term pre-Slavic refers to water or marsh). Initially, Celtic and Germanic tribes lived there, but the 9th century the river valley became the settlement of Slavs or Moravians, who built the Great Moravian Empire. The face of the country, which has become the cradle of West Slavonic culture and Christian civilization, has changed in the following centuries, but its meaning has remained preserved. The fortunes of Moravia was bound to the fate of Bohemia and Silesia, and their people formed the powerful lands of the Bohemian Crown that often influenced the fate of the whole Europe. State structures and regimes have come and gone, but these three countries have survived as a one country till now. Moravia is with an area of ​​22 349 square kilometers and population of roughly three million inhabitants the second of three Czech countries.

Silver-red chess eagle with golden armor and golden crown on a blue field - such is the Moravian historical emblem which symbolizes Moravian power and which is placed in the heart of the obverse side of gold two-ducat. "A shield with a Moravian eagle is surrounded by some characteristic landmarks of the country. There are two typical features of Moravia: folklore and winery. The upper part is closed by one of the well-known high buildings - the so-called Stramberská Truba, the Gothic tower, which today serves as an observation tower. On the opposite side there is the inscription MORAVA," academic sculptor Michal Vitanovsky describes his work.

The reverse side is common to all the four ducats of the Czech Republic issued in 2019. The linear division of the simplified map of the Czech Republic captures the current network of regions and the division by the astragal indicates the land borders. Hatches that cross the borders resemble the previous extent of land territory. The top of the map is accompanied by a current state flag, and in the lower part there is the historic St. Wenceslas Crown. The common use of these motifs emphasizes the continuity of our statehood.

Traditional gold mintage weighing two ducats was issued in mere 100 pieces and respects the specifications of legendary St. Wenceslas ducats.
