Czech Lion 2023

The set weighing two troy ounces of pure gold contains two bullion coins of the Czech Mint - the Czech Lion and the Eagle with the year 2023.

The Czech Mint has extensive experience in the production of so-called bullion coins. The silver and gold "Czech Lion" coins, which have been minted in Jablonec nad Nisou since 2017, are popular with investors not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also in Hungary, Germany, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Canada and the United States. The world's largest online distributor of precious metals has also requested them for its offer. One of the reasons why the Czech Mint's bullion coins have so quickly joined their famous global counterparts is their low mintage. While bullion coins of foreign mints are minted in the millions, the issue limit of coins minted in the Czech Republic is calculated in hundreds or thousands. This fact increases the appreciation potential of the investment and adds a collector's dimension to it. Thanks to the artistic processing, the coins will also serve perfectly as an original and valuable gift - for graduation, for a wedding, for the birth of a child or just for fun... The Czech Mint opened a store in Bratislava in 2020 and began to mint bullion coins called "Eagle". The parameters and advantages of these coins copy the "Czech Lions", but differ in the motif used, which is intended primarily for Slovaks.

The Czech Lion: The reverse side of the coin is dominated by the Czech heraldic beast in an unusual realistic rendering, which guards the St. Wenceslas Crown. The obverse side presents lime branches together with an eagle, which is a synthesis of the St. Wenceslas, Moravian and Silesian birds of prey. The author of the relief is the medal maker Asamat Baltaev, DiS.

Eagle: The reverse side of the coin is dominated by a flying golden eagle, which is the lord of the Tatras, with the magnificent mountain peak Kriváň towering below. The obverse side is then covered with ornaments of the Čičmanský pattern, which is a unique addition to Slovak folk architecture. The relief is the work of the medal maker MgA. Martin Dašek.

As the coins of the Czech Mint are issued with the licence of a foreign issuer, which is the island of Niue, their obverse sides bear its necessary elements - the state emblem, the nominal value of 50 DOLLARS (NZD) and the year of issue 2023.
