Product description

Prague has been the political, cultural and economic center of Central Europe for eleven centuries. It was founded in the Romanesque era and throve in Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque times. It became the capital of the Czech principality, kingdom and seat of emperors of the Holy Roman Empire and played a key role in the Protestant Reformation, the Thirty Years' War and the tumultuous events of the 20th century.

Hundred-spired mother of cities attracts millions of tourists every year and it is the fifth most visited metropolis in Europe. While walking through Prague you do not miss a monolithic development, and you do not even realize that you have passed the territory of
four medieval cities. Old Town, New Town, Lesser Town and Hradčany were not only individual parts of Prague. However, these independent towns were united in 1784.

The Czech Mint issued a four-part mini-series to the occasion of the anniversary of the unification. Set of
gold coins with Prague towns can be stored in this luxurious wooden etui decorated with Gothic ornaments.
